Helping Organizations Grow, Change, Succeed

"Mary has been an invaluable partner to me in strategic planning, in developing and maintaining positive staff dynamics during a difficult period of organizational transition, and in building effective communications and learning systems in South Caucasus offices of Eurasia Foundation. She has designed and co-led three annual staff retreats, which helped me transform five disparate program units (spread across three countries in a conflict zone) from a disaggregated set of branch-offices into a strongly motivated international team pursuing a clear shared vision and concrete shared goals.
"One of Mary’s greatest skills is an innate diplomacy, and an ability to understand and work effectively in a variety of cultural contexts. She is extremely sensitive to (and skilled at) adapting her management and planning assistance to the needs of her clients; even in a multinational and multi-cultural context like the South Caucasus, she easily engaged and incorporated all participants and made their perspectives more easily heard, valued, and respected."

“Carol Coren played a key role in advancing financial education for working families in our region. Through her work with the United Way of the Columbia Willamette “Tools for Living” Vision Council, she helped educate Portland Metro area community service groups about earned income tax credit and asset development opportunities. He involvement in strategic planning to promote financial education initiatives brought resources to the Oregon Tax Credit Coalition and assisted in the formation of CASH Oregon (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope). She helped attract investments in our programs by Social Venture Partners Portland, a local non-profit group that provided us with the talent and income needed to become a self-sustaining community service program.”
